In casting this ritual, you perform minor alterations to your appearance or the appearance of a willing creature, including, by not limited to the following:

  • The length, color and style of your hair. Eyebrows and eyelashes. (To a maximum of your height.)
  • The color of your eyes and shape of your pupil.
  • The tone, color, or texture of your skin.
  • The color of your nails, teeth, claws, horns or lips.
  • Your height up to one foot.
  • Your weight up to ten pounds.

You cannot change your facial structure, basic body type or the race you appear to be, nor do your clothes and other gear change in any way.

This ritual grants a +1 bonus to Bluff checks made to pass as unique creatures or to deny being yourself.


Create Facsimile
You bring into being a humanoid servitor to become your spy, cat’s-paw or companion.

Duration: Permanent (until the facsimile is destroyed)  

You conjure a humanoid being from ice and shadow that understands one language of your choice and obeys you without question. It has speed 6 and Strength 20, and never tires.

At the time of creation you choose the type of personality the facsimile displays, though regardless of personality, it follows any orders given it. It can differentiate between normal conversation and orders.

As a minor action, facsimile can take the form of an medium humanoid creature (but not that of a specific creature). It can also use any of the following skills that you are trained in with your base skill bonus: Bluff, Diplomacy, Insight, Intimidate, or Streetwise. It has all knowledge that you possess at the time of its creation unless you choose otherwise during the ritual.

The facsimile is a noncombatant. When forced onto an active battlefield, treat it as an allied minion (1 hit point, never damaged on a missed attack) with all defenses of 11. It acts just after you do and never makes attacks.

You cannot have more than one facsimile at a time from different performances of this ritual at paragon tier or two at epic tier. If you attempt to create a more facsimiles than your tier allows, that ritual fails without component expenditure.


Gift of the Dragon Nations
A ritual passed down to mortals from their allies in the Dragon Nations of Black and Red following draconic control gives you the wings and elemental breath of a dragon.

You or one ally of your choice gains a fly speed of 6 (hover). A Nature check result of 1 or less causes the target to be dazed for one hour. The target can make one charge attack, gaining an additional +4 to the attack or bullrush roll in the process or they may make a ranged basic attack (Charisma vs. Reflex, OR Constitution vs. Reflex) that deals 2d6 damage of one of the following types; fire, cold, acid, lightning, thunder or poison. If the target makes an attack beyond the either one noted above, this effect ends immediately.

Focus: The scale of an adult or older dragon, freely given.


Empathic Bond
This bond between ye two shall serve to make you stronger in ways more important than the physical.

Duration: Permanent (until dismissed)  

You forge an empathic bond that connects two willing, intelligent creatures, both of whom must remain within two squares of each other throughout the casting of this ritual, one a spiritual level.

Once the ritual is complete, the creatures can sense one another’s presence and general location (within 1 mile) out to a range determined by your Arcana or Religion check. Both subjects are instantly aware if the other is damaged, becomes bloodied or drops to 0 hitpoints.

As a minor action, one of the subjects of the link can sense the other’s emotional state, hitpoints and any ongoing effects on the other or make the other aware of the same for them. The bond does not allow any further communication.

Ritual of Control
A glowing sigil appears on the target's forehead, marking them yours in body and in mind, but not in soul.

Duration: Special Special: You must be able to speak the target's language.

You target a helpless, adjacent creature and bend its will to your own. The overall effect of this ritual is based on the target's level as follows:

Higher than your level +5: The ritual fails, ruining half the gp cost in components.

Your level +5: You may issue a single order to the target whose completion must be possible within the duration of the ritual. The moment the task is complete, the ritual ends. If you issue an order they would would strongly avoid doing otherwise, you must succeed in a Diplomacy vs. Will roll with a -5 penalty.

Your level: The target is dominated for the duration of the ritual. You can issue orders to them as a minor action. Whenever you issue an order they would would strongly avoid doing otherwise, you must succeed in a Diplomacy vs. Will roll with a -5 penalty.

Your level -1: The target is dominated for the duration of the ritual. You can see through their eyes a a free action and issue orders to them as a minor action. Whenever you issue an order they would would strongly avoid doing otherwise, you must succeed in a Diplomacy vs. Will roll.

Your level - 5: The target is dominated for the duration of the ritual. You can see through their eyes a a free action and issue orders to them as a minor action. The target suffers a -2 penalty to Will defense and Vulnerability 2 to psychic attacks as long as they are under the effects of this ritual.

Your level -10: The target is dominated for the duration of the ritual. You can see through their eyes as a free action and issue orders to them as a minor action. The target suffers a -5 penalty to Will defense and Vulnerability 5 to psychic attacks as long as they are under the effects of this ritual.

Whenever the target of this ritual takes damage, it may make a saving throw to end the ritual early. If the source of the damage has the psychic keyword, the target gets a +4 bonus to the saving throw.

Creatures already under the effect of this ritual automatically count as helpless for the purposes of this ritual. You may cast this ritual on a creature already effected by it during the last hour of the spell's duration; the durations are cumulative.

A Nature check result of 1 or less causes the target to be dazed for one hour as the dove’s mind attempts to override their own. If the target makes an attack, this effect ends immediately.

Ritual of the Hawk
This ritual grants you the wings of a hawk as well as infusing you with its fierce spirit.

You or one ally of your choice gains a fly speed of 8 (clumsy) for a duration based on the result of your Nature check. A Nature check result of 1 or less causes the target to be dazed for one hour as the hawk’s mind attempts to override their own. The target can make one charge attack, gaining an additional +2 to the attack or bullrush roll in the process. If the target makes an attack beyond the one noted above, this effect ends immediately.

Focus: A live hawk.

Shapechanging Charm
First created by dragons who wanted to walk among men, this ritual has become a staple among spell casters.

Upon completion of this ritual, you take the shape of an average member of medium humanoid race. This spell can only work in vague generalities, so it imposes a -5 on Bluff checks to impersonate a unique creature. You can dismiss this effect as a standard action, or resume it (provided the duration hasn’t ended) with a minute of concentration. On subsequent castings of this spell, you may choose to use a form you have already take.

Spell Matrix
You render a ritual into a spell matrix; a pre-performed ritual that you can activate with minimal effort in the field.

To use this ritual, you must perform the ritual you wish to create a matrix for in exacting detail, taking twice the normal time required to normally perform it. The ritual does not take effect at the end of this time, instead, a spell matrix takes material form, bound into a small object of your choosing such as a scroll, a card, a gem, or a polished stone.

Once the spell matrix is created, it lasts a number of days based on your Arcana check (see below) after which it becomes inert and unusable. You can activate the spell matrix with a full minute’s action, causing the ritual bound into it to take effect as if it had just been completed you designate and targets or parameters needed for the ritual when you activate the matrix.

Only rituals with Arcana as a key skill can be bound to a spell matrix.

Components: Powdered gemstones worth 20gp per level of the target ritual, plus the object the spell matrix will be bound into.

Telepathic Bond

As Empathic Bond, except the subjects can send mental images or allow one another to sense their current environment with their senses (for example, allowing the other target to hear through their ears or see through their eyes) out to a range determined by the result of your Arcana or Religion check as a minor action.

This effect can be extended for an additional week by the subjects of the ritual by meditating within 10 squares of one another for one hour to strengthen the bond up to one year without needed the spell to be recast.

Telepathic Rapport

As Telepathic Bond, except the subjects can speak to one another telepathically out to a range determined by your Arcana or Religion check as a minor action.

This effect can be extended for an additional week by the subjects of the ritual by meditating within 10 squares of one another for one hour to strengthen the bond. As long as the link is extended in this way before the duration expires, the spell need never be recast. If a character under the effect of a telepathic rapport is subject of another telepathic rapport ritual, the old ritual ends.
