Prepare to be sanctified by the edges of these most holy blades.

Prerequisite: Must worship the Mother of Blades

The small god called the Mother of Blades has no organized clergy or church martial, but to those who truly give themselves to her cause of achieving martial perfection with the use of the sword or dagger, she grants great gifts.

Blade Monarchs are often wanderers on the face of Ere, appearing to be common fighters, paladins of this exotic goddess, or swordsman dandies – up until the moment they choose to reveal the divine power they have been entrusted with.

Blade Monarch Path Features

Blade Vault (11th level): You gain access to an extra dimensional space that stores and holds and light blades or heavy blades you wish to store within it. You can store and retrieve weapons from this space as a free action. When you first draw a weapon from your blade vault in an encounter, it is wreathed in extra dimensional energies, granting you a +1 bonus to attack and damage until the end of your next turn.

Blade Storm Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to make an extra attack, the weapons stored within your blade vault appear from the ether and bound out, slashing your enemy mercilessly. Make an extra basic melee attack against one target you have attacked in this round.

Regalia of the Blade Monarch (16th level): When you become bloodied, the weapons within your blade vault appear and orbit around you, forming a semblance of a regal crown, jewelry and stole. You gain an aura 2; enemies in the aura take 5 damage upon entering the aura and at the start of every turn they remain in the aura.

BLADE MONARCH POWERS

Bounding Blade	Blade Monarch Attack 11
You hurl your weapon out of your blade vault and into the midst of the enemy, allowing it to slash through their ranks before returning to your hand.
Encounter • Divine, Weapon Standard Action - Area burst 3 within 10 Target: All enemies in burst Attack: Strength vs. AC Hit: 2[W] plus Strength modifier damage and the target is marked (save ends) Effect: You gain a +2 power bonus to your next damage roll in this encounter.

Shielding Swords	Blade Monarch Utility 12
A rotating disc of swords from your blade vault appears to ward off attacks against you or an ally.
Encounter • Divine, Weapon Move Action - Close burst 2 Target: You or one ally in burst Effect: The target gains a +2 power bonus to AC and Reflex defense until the end of your next turn as long as it remains within 2 squares of you.. Sustain Minor: The effect persists.

Blade Pinnacle	Blade Monarch Attack 20
You express the true power of the Mother of Blades, transforming into her champion upon the world.
Daily • Divine, Weapon Standard Action - Close burst 2 Target: All enemies in burst Attack: Strength vs. AC Hit: 3[W] plus Strength modifier damage and the target is marked (save ends) and dazed until the end of your next turn. Effect: You gain a fly speed of 2 (hover) and resist 5 weapon damage until the end of the encounter. Additionally, you are considered bloodied for the purposes of any powers or features you have including your Regalia of the Blade Monarch until the end of the encounter.
