Mounts
and Related Items
Bat, Tresolmi Giant
The giant, fruit eating bats of the Tresolmi jungles
are reared and trained as combat mounts by bandits and
more recently for adventurers. They aren’t suited
for pack animals, but make perfect mounts for scouts
and messengers.
Giant
bats are hard to control in melee combat, much like
normal horses.
Bear,
War Mount
War mount bears are bred for loyalty and stamina in
combat. A military exotic saddle allows a war mount
bear’s rider to fight while their mount is using
its standing combat ability.
War
mount bears venture willingly into underground environments
such as caves and dungeons and go willingly into combat.
Spider,
Battle
A battle spider is bred for combat and intelligence.
It is capable of seeking out higher ground and cover
into combat and is exceptionally easy to control in
combat despite occurrences that would spook other mounts.
They can carry a second and third passenger with relative
ease if a spider howdah is attached.
Spider
Howdah
This specially designed platform and railing allows
a battle spider to carry two passengers in addition
to its rider on its back. It takes five minutes and
two people to secure or remove a howdah from a battle
spider.
Spider,
Riding
Riding spiders are a favorite mount of adventurers in
the Southern Lands. They lack the poisonous bite and
combative nature of their battle spider brethren, but
they are still useful and valued mounts.
